ATC's Mission

To strengthen the economic base of Kansas, particularly in Southeast Kansas, by facilitating:

• The start-up and expansion of technology based, high growth enterprises;
• Technology transfer from regional academic and entrepreneurial communities;
• The development of support networks and infrastructure, including education related to technology management.

What is ATC?

• ATC is the Alliance for Technology Commercialization, a not-for-profit corporation.  ATC is a true partnership bringing together the resources of the Kansas Technology Enterprise Corporation (KTEC), the City of Pittsburg, and Pittsburg State University.

• ATC is an affiliate of the Wichita Technology Corporation, which is one of three Innovation and Commercialization Corporations in the KTEC network.  ATC is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of community, academic, and government leaders.

• Milestone Ventures, LLC is a seed capital fund and is part of the ATC network.  Milestone Ventures, LLC provides early stage financing for promising new technologies with commercialization potential.  Such technologies may come from PSU, KTEC Centers of Excellence, federal laboratories, and both the public and private sectors.  ATC client companies have priority access to Milestone Ventures' investment funds.

• ATC is located at the Pittsburg State University Business and Technology Institute, which is a regional economic development organization serving Southeast Kansas.

ATC's Purpose

• ATC was established to help develop, transfer, and commercialize new technologies.  The objective is to create high value jobs and increase prosperity in Pittsburg, Southeast Kansas, and the region.

• The ATC targets researchers, entrepreneurs, inventors, and existing businesses that have developed or are developing new technologies.  These same services are offered to non-technology based companies by other resources at PSU's Business and Technology Institute.
